Yorkshire Ladies Championship

The cream of Yorkshire amateur women’s golf will compete at Alwoodley this Spring.

We are proud to be hosting the Yorkshire Ladies Championship this Spring which will run from May 6 to 8.

The format for the event is 36 holes of individual strokeplay on day one with the top 16 players qualifying for the matchplay finals on days two and three.

It will be the seventh time Alwoodley has hosted the Championship with Naomi Edwards winning the last installment at Alwoodley in 2008.

Leeds Cares (NHS) Charity Day

This year, the club’s annual charity golf day will be supporting The NHS and Leeds Cares with the day being held on May 13.

Last year, the club raised £25,000 for the MND Association to help fight against Motor Neurone Disease.

R&A Regional Open Qualifying

At the end of June, it will be the turn of Yorkshire’s Open hopefuls to take centre stage at Alwoodley.

Following the absence of Regional Open Qualifying last year due to COVID-19, it returns to Alwoodley’s calendar once again on June 20.

Local professionals and amateurs will be looking to advance to Final Qualifying later that week for a chance to qualify for the 150th edition of The Open at the historic Old Course at St. Andrew’s.
